Pavic Tales: Many consider Pavic Tales to be the first RQ fanzine with any longevity and production value. It also helped motivate David Hall to start his own fanzine. Anyone
lucky enough to have read it agrees that Pavic Tales never took itself seriously. This Storm Bull oriented, anti-chaos, anti-Orlanth fanzine is refreshingly simple and devastatingly funny.
Some of its features, especially the Pavic graffiti wall and the Ask Spugh column, were strictly on a humorous level. The comics, supported with crude artwork, poke fun at all manner of subjects. Its founders, Mark, Jim, and Butch were all from the same gaming group in Basingstoke. This quarterly fanzine lasted for about 3 years before it slipped into oblivion. Most of the issues are digest sized, but the last slim issue switched to A4 paper. Strictly devoted to RQ3, most articles were from the editors or people that played in the area usually uncredited.
