Who are to you to be telling me this?
I have been asked this question, sometimes rather impolitely. I don't mind answering, but please don't think it is because I possess a huge ego or like to brag. I've played Runequest since almost the beginning, and have playtested both Hero Wars and the forthcoming Heroquest systems. I've been involved in the publication of two Gloranthan magazines, Tales of the Reaching Moon and Tradetalk, and am the publisher of the Gloranthan Classics line of reprints. I am an avid games auction attendee and have been a Runequest games auctioneer at over 15 conventions in the US, Canada, the UK, Germany and Australia. As an attendee of almost every Gloranthan convention since 1994 (which is when they pretty much started) I have had the good fortune to meet and speak with almost all of the principle authors of Gloranthan material. I am close to being an Ebay addict in some respects and track auction trends and prices as part of my games collecting obsession. Also, I own basically everything found on this site, so if I don't know the answer, I certainly have the option of looking it up. That said, I do not have a monopoly of wisdom on all things Gloranthan. Many other people are far more knowledgeable about Gloranthan history, culture, etc. than I. PS: Every now and then I will contact an Ebay seller and very politely point out an error they have made in describing a Gloranthan related item. I usually get asked the above question as part of their very incensed reply. When I reply to their outrage with most of the above information, I usually don't even get a response.
